I am a seventh generation Floridian and come from a long line of musicians. I have been teaching for over 15 years. At The Vibe, I teach Guitar, Ukulele, and Drums. I have used my many years experience of the road and studying music theory to design my programs to help you achieve your personal goals in the absolute best way possible! Learning how to play the music you love and enjoy is something that lasts a lifetime. I'm looking forward to helping you on your journey.
Originally from Newcastle On Tyne, in England, I first experienced working as a professional musician during the 1960’s. After working with some bands as a teenager, I was part of the Juncopartners, which achieved success at the prestigious Club A ‘Gogo. After that, I had many years of touring with The Who, Rod Steward, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, and others. When my touring days were done, I was engaged in plenty of studio sessions, radio and TV work. Before moving to the US in 2007, I taught piano within music colleges, and was the “Lead Moderator” with the country’s leading music education college. Now I am in the Tampa Bay area and enjoy continuing to share my musical knowledge with my students.
… began informal ear-training for the piano at 4 years old and moved on to an official study of percussion and rhythm fundamentals at age 8. He credits his vocal understanding to the acapella style of singing he grew up with in church. He later earned a certification of Recording Engineering in Indianapolis and began producing sound for live and studio projects across Indianapolis, Denver and Tampa Bay. He performs as a dynamic acoustic and electric rhythm guitar player who often notes the importance of providing a colorful sonic foundation for others to build on. He also enjoys providing driving back-beats from the drum set and singing meaningful songs in the company of other inspired musicians. His list of influences covers everything from the traditional dances of Native American cultures to the exploratory nature of the Grateful Dead. With 3 children of his own (each with their own styles of learning and motivation), Tchad has come to thrive on the experience of passing technique and inspiration on to a new generation.
